25 Things

I initially started the list because I was tagged on Facebook. But then again, as I keep thinking about the list of things I like and I don't like, I think I might just keep going whenever I recall the things I like. This will be a first entry of a category called "Things About Me"

For now, here are 25 random and not so random things about yours truly. Brace yourself.

1. Like my friend Rika, I have watched every single episode of Sex and The City at least 5 times. Apparently I am Carrie. Or was it Samantha? Can't get enough of the show.

2. I love New York. It was one of my to-do-list to visit the city that never sleeps before I was 30, but alas, I never got to it.

3. I love flowers. Red roses (or any roses) and Calla Lily are my favourites. (Thanks to those who gave me flowers for my birthday).

4. I try to put an effort in getting someone a present. If I know someone would appreciate it, I'd go my way to get it.

5. Wihch explains why I sometimes don't bother gettting one if I don't know what to get that person.

6. That also explains why I love getting thoughtful presents. (Do to others what you want others do to you, no?) If you can't think of anything, flowers, CD and books vouchers never fails.

7. I lived in New Zealand for 11 years and 3 weeks. Two and a half in Palmerston North, and the remaining in Wellington. It's a good thing I didn't turn into a sheep. Oh, and no, sheep do not run around in the city in New Zealand.

8. While living in NZ, I got sent by work to to Melbourne for three months, all living expenses paid, and I came out of my shell. I discovered Gin and Tonic, dressing up for Horse Races (incl Melbourne Cup), amongst other things. I blame and thanked Yvette at the same time.

9. When I was younger I wanted to be a ballerina, but realised I was (and still am) too chubby for it.

10. I also wanted to do Karate when I was 13, but Dad wouldn't let me. I wish I perservered.

11.I love Italy for everything. It's the most beautiful place in the world. Food, people and art. Positano in Amalfi is my heaven on earth and I dream to get married there. Or Santorini, in Greece.

12. I love books, but don't get time to read them all. I will eventually.

13. Each time I think "This is it. This is my best birthday ever", it gets better every year. The last one is the best.

14. My favourite Spice Girl is Victoria Beckham. Despite lots of people despise her, I think she got it all. Cute husband, gorgeous kids, and great business skills. Well, maybe she hasn't quite got the singing skill for a Grammy, but she's a star.

15. I have only found out what, or who, "Miyabi" is, two weeks ago. All this time I only knew it as my favourite Japanese restaurant in Wellington, NZ. She is pretty I must say.

16. This list has taken me an hour so far, and I am far from finishing.

17. I think Birthdays, Christmas and Anniversaries are important days to celebrate.

18. I value service and don't mind tipping if required. And I don't mind complaining if I don't get the required standard service

19. I have complaint in writing to Grand Hyatt Jakarta for bad service, and received a complimentary bottle of wine on the house from the Food and Beverage Director, which I never claimed. All I needed was an apology.

20. I have countless number of crushes, but have only been in love twice.

21. I love writing and maintained a blog not (quite) open for my circle of friends. I want to be a journalist.

22. I think my love for writing is because I talk too much.

23. I have a tendency of hitting huggable guys, thinking that it won't hurt - and that I only do that to people I like. Turned out, some of em complained. Sorriee.

24. I used to be chubby, then lean and muscly, and at present, at the heaviest. (*--*). I am working to trim it down yet again.

25. I still believe in love, and will never settle for second best.
